Scarce STAR M1922 used by the Spanish Guardia Civil, with matching magazine, modified for .38 ACP, in matching box with spare magazine as sold when decommissioned. SN: 15275. Cal: 9mmLargo. Standard configuration STAR M1922 as used by the Spanish Guardia Civil and well detailed in the book STAR FIREARMS by Antaris on pages 303-317 with an identical type gun shown on page 316. The 1922 pistols totaled 15,000 guns in the serial range 13500-28500. The left side of the slide was marked for the Guardia Civil followed by the usual STAR legend. When decommissioned, the guns were modified to shoot .38 ACP, explaining the “38” under the originally applied 9mm. Upon release they were marked “Made in Spain” as appears in front of the slide release. Full serial number on butt. Features include a 5” barrel, fixed front sight and screw adjustable rear sight. Spur hammer with central hole, early safety with separate detent stop and lanyard ring. Fitted with STAR logo panels each secured with two screws. Original magazine with seven indicator holes and pinned base marked with the Guardia Civil logo and matching serial number. Complete with red/silver/maroon shipping box with yellow/red end label marked with the matching serial number. Included is a loose compartment for a spare magazine, this one numbered 20754. Condition: Generally good rust blue finish with considerable wear in the usual places reflecting service use. Comparable condition grips, shipping box and both magazines. Dull bore with shallow rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. A classic “BIG STAR” as popularized by Hemingway, with matching magazine and its later era decommissioned box.  A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!  Inv# A-1132
