Slide marked with the usual Astra U/C logo followed by the four line address reflecting manufacturer, location, model and caliber. Left side of trigger guard web with Spanish Military (Nationalist) acceptance. Matching serial number on the barrel, slide, and frame, close to the Nazi contract range. Fitted with coarsely checkered walnut grips. Late, Astra marked magazine.
VG+, as reworked a long time ago, determined by blueing inside slide and frame, areas that originally would have been in-the-white. Darkly oiled grips with a few areas of blunting and checkering loss. Comparable condition magazine. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. A very attractive and all matching Astra M400 (1921) with an interesting military background.
