Standard configuration Astra M600 with fixed front and rear sights. Slide marked with four line commercial address including “MADE IN SPAIN”. Left side of slide with large Chilean Air Force logo surmounting “FUERZA AEREA DE CHILE”. Usual commercial proofing on barrel hood, left side of slide and as part of the three Eibar proofs on left tang. Major components are rust blued. Barrel, hold open, trigger are polished and in the white. Extractor, grip screws and lanyard ring are fire blued. Wood checkered grips. Standard unnumbered magazine with E/U logo on base. Import marked on butt.
Seldom offered Astra M600, one of just 450 pistols made for the Chilean Air Force in 1950, in the serial range #43601-44050.
Approximately 96-97% bright rust blue with expected holster-related sharp edge wear from minimal use. An all matching pistol with the full serial number on the slide and frame, the last three digits repeated under the barrel. Comparable condition small parts, grips and magazine. Bright bore with strong rifling. Perfect manual mechanics though the magazine is a little sticky to insert and remove. An extremely scarce pistol that would grace any collection of foreign contract small arms. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!
