Standard configuration DWM 1906 AE Luger in .30 cal with 4.75” barrel having drift adjustable bead front sight and fixed “V” notch rear sight. Bold American Eagle over chamber and intertwined DWM over middle toggle link. Made for export as denoted by the “GERMANY” on front frame. Full serial number on forward frame is repeated under barrel with the last two digits “01” on all appropriate small parts. Major parts rust blued. Takedown lever, trigger, safety, ejector, and magazine release button are strawed. Fire blued front sight, pins, and grip screws. Finely checkered grips. Magazine with tinned body and walnut plug.
Condition:
Crisp 99+% rust blue, an extraordinarily well done professional restoration, whose only giveaway is a slightly too-dark blue and grip screws that are too well done. As mentioned in description, the front bead sight is a period replacement and the ridge on the bottom of the magazine plug suggests that of a 24 Bern. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. An extremely attractive and well-marked DWM model 1906 American Eagle Luger.
