Early production 1882, made 1898, with 4.5” barrel, thin top strap, and screw reinforced recoil shield. Fixed sights. Serial number on left side of barrel is repeated on the left side of the frame, cylinder, loading gate, ejection rod, hammer, and trigger. Many of these components are also marked with the assembly number “11194”. Cylinder pin is number “762” with assembly number “10255”. Fitted with black hard rubber grips whose left panel has the encircled Swiss cross. Rotatable lanyard ring at base of frame.
VG+ original rust blue with thinning, fading on grip straps, and sharp edge wear as carefully photographed. Comparable condition strawed and fire blued parts. Near excellent grips with no splits or cracks. Bright bore with sharp rifling, minimal oxidation. Perfect indexing upon manual check with negligible cylinder wobble on lock-up . A very early, attractive, and relatively scarce variation M1882, with proper lockup, perfect for the serious collector or shooter. ANTIQUE!
