Full matching serial number on barrel, left rail, and rear toggle link with last few digits repeated on sideplate and receiver lug. All small parts with usual inspector markings. P release on left side of barrel extension. Forward frame whose recess is marked “7.39” reflecting production in July 1939. W/F logo on back of frame. Uniformly checkered red grips. Original magazine with blued follower now with a replacement brown plug. Correct Swiss military holster dated “38” and shoulder strap whose markings and date are not discernable.

Near excellent original salt blue finish with holster wear in expected locations as well as slight thinning of sideplate. Surprisingly strong front and back straps. Excellent grips with sharply molded checkering, no splits or losses. Near excellent magazine with repinned/updated brown plug. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. Good holster and strap. A very attractive, early Swiss military Bern with the highly desirable red grip in correct holster and strap.
