Matching frame was proofed “27” on right side and military marked “4D 381” on frontstrap, reflecting issue to the 4th artillery division. Disassembly shows barrel number 102259. Smooth wood grip. Lanyard ring. Original magazine with three indicator slots on left side and detachable floorplate marked P Mod 24.

VG-EX original rust blue finish with sharp edge wear and thinning consistent with light-moderate service use. Comparable condition grips, with scattered dings, a chip missing from under the tang, and another small chip at the front, forward lower edge, right side. Mirror bright bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. A classic gun with an interesting history!
