This beautiful example of a DWM Model 1906 Commercial Luger, cal 7.65mmL, has a 4.75” tapered barrel with drift adjustable front sight and fixed rear sight. No chamber marking. Intertwined DWM on front toggle link, grip safety and no stock lug. Serrated safety with exposed in-the-white metal to indicate the safe position. Correct short frame. Full serial number in front of frame and repeated under barrel, last two digits in usual commercial locations except for the walnut checkered grips: the left grip panel has been over stamped with a small cross and “43”, the right grip has the small cross with the small letter “I”. Interestingly, and unlike most commercial guns, there are no Crown/N proofs although the receiver is marked “GERMANY”, reflecting the intent to export. Complete with a standard magazine with tinned body and an unmarked walnut plug.
