Standard early production DWM Artillery with 8” barrel having fine tune front and rear sights. “1915” chamber date with intertwined “DWM” on middle toggle link and long sear bar. Major components are rust blued. Front sight, rear sight bar and grip screws are fire blued; take down lever, trigger, safety, ejector, and magazine release are strawed. Full serial number under barrel, on forward frame and on left side of receiver. Extensive disassembly shows all matching small parts including the firing pin and each grip panel. Unnumbered fire blued rear toggle pin as is correct for this variation. Fitted with a DWM magazine numbered “5919”.
High condition, all original finish DWM 1915 Artillery, early production with fully adjustable sights.
Approximately 98% bright original rust blue with minimal sharp edge wear and a few freckles on front and backstrap. Strawed parts show more discoloration, as expected, but no suggestion of enhancement. Dark grips with sharp checkering, no discernible cracks or chips. VG magazine with two chips missing from the left side of magazine base as pictured. Near mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. One of the nicer 1915 dated Artilleries that should please the most discriminating collector. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!
