Standard configuration tangent slotted pre-war high power with serrated drift adjustable front sight and fifty-five hundred rear sight, gradations limited to the rear of the sight bar. Slide with internal extractor and thumbprint, usual FN address on left side of slide. Scattered Belgian proofs. Fully matching barrel, slide, and frame. Original walnut grips. Pre-war magazine with aluminum follower and tensioned floorplate. Stock marked with a large “13679” on the right side as correct for the Finnish Contract guns. Original holster was removed the left side of the stock showing the countersunk attachment holes, exactly as pictured in the Vanderlinden book on page 286. Note that this pistol has a high capacity magazine and cannot be shipped to states with prohibitive legislation that includes but is not restricted to: CA, CO, CT, HI, MA, MD, NY, NJ, cities of Chicago/Oak Park, IL, etc.
Scarce Finnish Contract FN High Power, one of 2400 Pistols shipped to Finland between February and March 1940, complete with correct but mismatched flatboard shoulder stock.
Near excellent condition with sharp edge wear, slight thinning and handling marks on front and back straps as carefully pictured. Magazine body and floorplate refinished. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. Excellent stock, wood with retaining much of the original varnish, lug and belt loop with most of the original blue.
