A. Francotte of Belgium made a few thousand .22LR single shot training/target pistols, Sys. Weber, circa 1910, in several variations. This extremely early example has features most closely copied to the original Luger with a 4.75 inch tapered barrel, drift adjustable front sight and “V” notched rear sight. Matching serial number on all major and many minor components. Belgium proofs on left side of barrel, left frame and on each of the toggle links. Francotte monogram on left side of frame; right side marked D.R.G.M./218760. Walnut checkered, bordered, grips.
Scarce A. Francotte Luger Training Pistol, dedicated single shot, pre WW1, SN 18, .22LR.
Good original condition with scattered patchy blue loss as carefully photographed with more uniform thinning on front/back straps. Dark bore with shallow rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. An extremely unusual Luger, with super low serial number, whose features closely model the original pistol.
