Left side of barrel is marked with the model, H&R address on top, caliber on right side. Cylinder marked with patent reference. Full serial number on frontstrap with last three digits on rear of cylinder and extractor star. Major components blued. Bright polished serrated hammer. Single piece walnut grip with three panels of checkering. Complete with original maroon shipping box lid missing both end labels, base with blue/white Sportsman label referencing caliber and barrel length. Cleaning instructions printed inside lid. Hand printed serial number on bottom of box.
This Prewar Sportsman revolver is nearly new. The cylinder having just the faintest drag line that barely breaks the blue. Negligible box ware is that is difficult to discern. Comparable condition grip. Mirror bore. Perfect Manual mechanics. General good box with losses to lid as previously note. An extraordinarily high condition Prewar Sportsman, especially nice with its original shipping box.
