Description:

Very attractive Mauser C96 Prewar Commercial Broomhandle in original condition with period correct commercial holster. The pistols a standard configuration Prewar Commercial with 5.5” barrel having fixed front sight and slip-in 50-1000 rear sight. Short extractor and correct hollow head safety. Top of chamber marked with three line Mauser address. Full serial number on left side of barrel extension. Crown/C/U on left chamber flat. Right side of frame with two line Mauser address. Finely serrated grips. Original lanyard ring present. Period correct, unmarked brown leather holster with strap closure and double belt loops.

Condition:

VG original condition with holster/shoulder stock wear in expected locations, particularly on the forward projection of the magazine well. Thinning grip straps as carefully imaged. Comparable condition fire blued parts showing no suggestions of enhancement. Oil darkened grips with scattered handling marks, particularly on the right side. Near mirror bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. Excellent commercial holster with intact stitching. A nice, no-excuse Prewar ensemble.
