Standard configuration gold plated Gyrojet, Model 137, with usual manufacturers marking on the left side of the frame, “A” and “S” on either side of the screw forward of the trigger, safety markings “ON” and “OFF”. Right side of the frame referencing patent, model, and caliber. Serial number on bottom of frame, the trailing “1” seemingly added at a later date. In early cardboard rocketeering box with cutout for 12 rockets, all present, having misfired with indented primers. Complete with single page, double-sided literature. The Model 137 was the earliest of the Gyrojet variations, fewer than 150 made, several reviewed by the military, considered as a holy grail by Gyrojet collectors and anyone interested in this fascinating, space age handgun.
