Description:

Standard configuration single action pistol with 4.75” barrel and drift adjustable front and rear sight. The left side of the slide and frame are proofed and marked with the full serial number that is repeated on the right side of the barrel hood. Safety detents are marked with an “S” in white and “F” in red. “P” release on the left upper trigger guard web. Disassembly shows a matching, original hammer group with no half cock. Fitted with serrated walnut grips secured with fire blued screw. Fixed lanyard ring. Complete with two original high polish magazines and a “52” dated Swiss military holster with “51” dated strap.

Condition:

99%+ bright, original salt blue with holster wear as expected from a pistol that has seen virtually no field use. No suggestion of touch-up. Comparable condition grips and high polish magazines. Mirror bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics. Excellent holster with scattered scuffs and staining as photographed. Very nicely manufacturer marked and dated. A wonderfully high condition, high polish military P49, with its matching, original hammer group, two high polish magazines and correctly dated military holster with strap. It would be virtually impossible to upgrade this early military rig!
