Savage only made a handful of .25 ACP pistols for internal review. A small lot with broad serrations were numbered in the 1xxxM serial range. There were even fewer of the later guns with fine slide serrations. Total production is estimated at between 25-40 pistols. This particular example, with the fine serrations, has been expertly restored with the left side of the slide marked with the SN 29607. Safety/take down lever appears to have original blue. Crisp original Savage grips. Unmarked magazine with five indicator holes.
Extraordinarily rare Savage .25 pistol with the fine slide serrations, seldom encountered and only rarely offered for sale.
At least 95-97% bright rust blue restoration with comparable condition original grips. Very well fitting magazine is likely a rework with a more recently pinned base. Bright, near mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. A super rare opportunity to own one of the rarest Savage pistols extant. For more information about Savage .25 ACP pistols, click here. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!
