The left side of the slide and frame are proofed and marked with the full serial number that is repeated on the right side of the barrel hood. Safety detents are marked with an “S” in white and “F” in red. “P” release on left side of trigger guard web. Disassembly shows a matching, original hammer group with no half cock. Fitted with serrated walnut grips secured with fire blued screw. Fixed lanyard ring. Complete with spare matte finish magazine and a correctly dated “52” Swiss military holster.

95-97% bright, original salt blue with holster wear as expected from a pistol that has seen field use. No suggestion of touch-up. Comparable condition grips, the right panel having some added wear on the back surface. One high polish magazine; one matte finish magazine. Mirror bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics. VG+ holster with scattered scuffs and staining as photographed. Very nicely manufacturer marked and dated. A very attractive, high polish Swiss military SIG P49, with its matching, original hammer group, military holster and spare (later era) magazine.
