A superb, original finish SIG P49 with high polish as typical for the earliest military pistols. Single action pistol with 4.75” barrel and drift adjustable front and rear sight. The left side of the slide and frame are proofed and marked with the full serial number that is repeated on the right side of the barrel hood. Safety detents are marked with an “S” in white and “F” in red. “P” release marked on left side of trigger guard and discretely applied import marking on base of frame where covered by the magazine floorplate. Disassembly shows a matching hammer assembly without half cock. Fitted with serrated walnut grips secured with a fire blued screw. Fixed lanyard ring. Primary and spare magazines are high polish finish. Holster dated “52”, with supple leather, and matching shoulder strap dated “52”. No alteration with battle-ready stud.
