Standard configuration Star MB, 9mmP, 1 of 1757 pistols made between 1956-1975, this example completed in 1972. This single action locked breech pistol has a fixed front sight and drift adjustable rear sight. Usual address on left side of slide reflecting manufacturer, location in Spain, and caliber. Triad of Eibar proofs on left side of frame under grip with the automatic pistol proof repeated on left slide, behind serrations, and exposed chamber hood. Stock slot marked with assembly number “13”. Major components salt blued; case hardened hammer; strawed extractor, trigger with sides polished bright. Checkered brown plastic grips. Unmarked magazine with two indicator slots on right side and detachable floorplate, indicator slot at rear and serrations at toe. Extended 16-shot magazine with indentation at rear spine to better seat the cartridges. Complete with correct shoulder stock. Lug numbered “59”, with same digits repeated on mating surface of lid and body, secured with slotted screw. Excellent lockup to pistol with minimal wobble; pistol fits snuggly inside stock, lid closing securely.
Excellent with minimal sharp edge wear and very light wear at right side of palm swell. Slight fading of case hardening at top of hammer. Comparable condition grips and primary magazine. Excellent extended magazine. Non-matching stock lightly cleaned, still devoid of finish as correct. No splits or losses. VG+ instruction booklet, staining as photographed. Comparable box, early separations, with nicely marked end label. One of the most charismatic Star pistols, in popular caliber, now reclassified as C&R.
