Standard configuration Star Model A with fixed front sight and drift adjustable rear sight. Usual Star address on left side of slide, referencing company and caliber (9 mm = 9 mm Largo, not Parabellum). Right side of slide with Spanish Air Force logo matching slide, frame, and magazine. Eibar proofs reflect production in (U) 1950. Import markings as photographed. Model and serial number noted on the bottom of the frame. Major components are salt blued, color case hardened hammer, barrel hood and sides of trigger polished bright, strawed extractor. Walnut checkered grips. Complete with grey Air Force box with matching end label. No accessories. Very similar, slightly later production, than pistol pictured in ‘Star Firearms’ on page 367.
Attractive Star Model A, Spanish Air Force issue, with matching magazine in correct box.
Excellent as arguably redipped at factory when released as surplus. Blue a bit mottled and two dings under the blue at rear of slide adjacent to hammer cutout. No suggestion that the hammer, trigger, screws, or magazine were reworked. Near mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. Box with scuffs as photographed.
