Excellent+ Star Model S as used by the Spanish Airforce, similar to a minature Colt 1911, without grip safety. Fixed front sight with drift adjustable rear sight. Left side of slide with usual Star address denoting caliber. Automatic pistol proofs on left trigger guard, left rear of slide, and exposed chamber. Spanish Airforce logo on right side of slide and frame adjacent to issue number 06177 that is repeated on the floorplate of the matching magazine. Spare magazine numbered 4617. Pistol dated Q (1946). Early smooth black plastic grips, each panel embossed with the Star trademark logo. Original shipping box, cover marked with Airforce logo and “Ejercito del Aire.” Remarked end label with serial number of pistol. Ensemble includes original instruction booklet, a more modern instruction booklet, spare magazine and cleaning rod still wrapped in wax paper. Major components of the pistol are salt blued with color case hardened hammer. Sides of trigger and exposed chamber area were polished bright.
