Standard configuration M1882 SA/DA revolver with 4.5” barrel having fixed front and rear sights. Left side of frame release marked “P 59” (1959). Matching parts include barrel, frame, cylinder, hammer, trigger, loading gate and ejector. Most of these also marked with assembly number “617”. The cylinder axle is #662” with assembly number “412”. Discreet import marking on barrel under cylinder pin. Major parts are rust blued with strawed small parts. Varnished, fluted wood grips. Butt with rotatable lanyard ring. VG+ holster manufacturer marked and dated “17” between the belt loops. Rear shoulder strap loop separating from body of holster.
VG+ original condition, Swiss M1882 Revolver, matching except for cylinder pin, release date 1959, with holster.
Blued components are in VG+ original condition with freshened small parts. Grips with original varnish having scattered handling dings. Wear around butt cap from contact with holster. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. VG+ holster whose appearance could easily be improved by restitching the rear shoulder strap loop. A nice mid production M1882 Swiss military revolver with its correct holster. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!
