Standard configuration M1924 with 4.75” barrel having drift adjustable fire blued front sight and fixed “V” notch rear sight. Blank chamber. Middle link with WAFFENFABRIK BERN. Inspection marking on left side of receiver. Full serial number under barrel and forward frame with the last few digits under the sideplate, trigger, barrel extension, and on all three components of the toggle, and each of the grips. Scattered Swiss crosses in usual locations. Major components are rust blued. “P 63” scribed over chamber. Strawed takedown lever, trigger, magazine release button, ejector and safety lever. Fitted with later M1929 magazine with brown plastic plug. Ownership attribution found under left grip, included to purchaser.
Desirable Swiss 1906/24 Luger with ownership attribution, later magazine.
Bright original rust blue with only minimal sharp edge wear as one might expect from a pistol that has not seen much service. Small parts with richly tempered but slightly faded strawing. Comparable condition front and backstraps. Near excellent grips. VG+ magazine with peeling of nickled finish, particuarly on right side, as photographed. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. A very nice, no excuse Swiss 1924 Bern Luger, with interesting ownership attribution that could easily be upgraded with a proper unmarked, wood plug magazine.
