Safety detentes are marked with an “S” in white and “F” in red. “P” release marked on left side of trigger guard and discreetly applied import marking on base of frame where covered by the magazine floorplate. Disassembly shows a matching hammer assembly with the usual half cock. Fitted with checkered black plastic grips, integral escutcheons, secured with a single transfer screw. Fixed lanyard ring. Complete with two correct matte finish magazines. Supple brown holster, manufacturer marked and dated “58” with ownership marking on back of magazine pouch. Correct later style shoulder strap dated “64”.
Superb, all original SIG P49 with matte finish as typical for the later military pistol with dated holster, strap and spare magazine.
Crisp 99% original matte finish that equally applies to the frontstrap. Comparable condition grips. One magazine equally nice the other showing more wear as pictured. Mirror bore and perfect manual mechanics. Near excellent brown holster and shoulder strap. A truly excellent, all original military P49, that would be difficult to upgrade and should please any collector of military pistols. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!
