Standard configuration single action pistol with 4.75” barrel and drift adjustable front and rear sight. The left side of the slide and frame are proofed and marked with the full serial number that is repeated on the right side of the barrel hood. Safety detentes are marked with an “S” in white and “F” in red. “P” release marked on left side of trigger guard and discreetly applied import marking on base of frame where covered by the magazine floorplate. Disassembly shows a matching hammer assembly with the usual half cock. Fitted with checkered black plastic grips, integral escutcheons, secured with a single transfer screw. Fixed lanyard ring. Complete with two magazines: one with correct matte finish, the other a high polish rework. Supple brown holster, ownership markings on lid and manufacturer marked and dated “55”. Early style shoulder strap with acceptance marking, dated “63”.
Excellent SIG P49 with matte finish as typical for the later military pistols with correctly dated holster, early style shoulder strap, and spare magazine.
Excellent original matte finish, with minimal sharp edge wear as one might expect from a pistol that has seen light service use. Comparable condition grips. VG matte finish magazine. The reworked magazine shows virtually no wear. Mirror bore and perfect manual mechanics. VG+ holster and shoulder strap, original stitching intact showing no repairs. A very attractive military P49 rig that should please any collector of military pistols. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!
