Description:

Standard configuration single action pistol with 4.75” barrel and drift adjustable front and rear sight. The left side of the slide and frame are proofed and marked with the full serial number that is repeated on the right side of the barrel hood. Safety detents are marked with an “S” in white and “F” in red. “P” release on the left upper trigger guard web. Disassembly shows an unnumbered, updated hammer group with half cock. Fitted with serrated walnut grips secured with fire blued screw. Fixed lanyard ring. Complete with two original high polish magazines and a correctly dated “1957” Swiss military holster with “56” dated strap.

Condition:

Stunning 98+% bright, original salt blue with minimal holster wear as expected from a pistol that has only seen light field use. Comparable condition, highly figured grips that have only a few very minor handling marks. Excellent original finish high polish magazines. Mirror bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics. Crisp holster/strap, very nicely manufacturer marked and dated. A very high condition, high polish military P49, with an unnumbered, updated hammer group, two high polish magazines, and correctly dated military holster and strap. A wonderful example for the advanced collector.
