The left side of the slide and frame are proofed and marked with the full serial number that is repeated on the right side of the barrel hood. Safety detents are marked with an “S” in white and “F” in red. “P” release on the left side of trigger guard. Disassembly shows a matching, original hammer group with no half cock. Fitted with serrated walnut grips secured with fire blued screw. Fixed lanyard ring. Complete with two high-polished magazines and a correctly dated “54” Swiss military holster with a “53” dated strap”.

97-98% bright, original salt blue with holster wear as expected from a pistol that has seen mild field use. Discoloration on each side of trigger as imaged. No suggestion of touch-up. Comparable condition grips, and original finish high-polish magazines. Mirror bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics. VG+-excellent holster and strap, both with scattered scuffs and staining as photographed. Very nicely manufacturer marked and dated. A very attractive, no-excuse high polish military P49, with its matching, original hammer group, spare magazine and issue dated holster with strap.
