This unusual pair of Smith & Wesson 1913 Tool Room/Incomplete pistols, both in .32 ACP, came from the collection of long time S&W Executive Donald C. Fogg. The numbered example, appearing as a production pistol, is a largely grey/blue gun, missing a few small parts, that is fully marked having a plexiglass/paperbacked left panel. Missing right panel. Magazine with small recess at the bottom rear, for variation with side fixation. The second pistol is partially in-the-white, missing a larger number of parts, though the slide reciprocates properly, this example having an unfinished frame with no serial number and an unfinished magazine. Though it may have been conceptualized as a prototype, no unusual features were noted compared to a standard production pistol.
Condition:
Generally good as partially finished or unfinished and missing a few parts, presumably taken from the S&W tool room by a noted S&W Executive. An interesting pair of guns that would complement any S&W Auto Pistol Collection, particularly if focused on the 1913.
