Beautiful High Standard 104 Supermatic Trophy with 7.25in. fluted barrel complete with muzzle brake and both weights. One of the most charismatic of the space gun pistols, this example having been made in the mid 1960s. Left side of pistol marked with the caliber, model and ‘HI-STANDARD”. The right side is marked with the model, serial number (repeated on slide and frame), and HS location in Hamden, Conn. Usual patridge front sight and fully adjustable rear sight with push button take down, gold plated safety and trigger, and checkered walnut grips, the left panel with thumb rest, each panel with the HS medalions. Complete with fully blued magazine with integral floorplate marked HI-STANDARD.
Condition:
Approximately 99% bright original blue, except for a flew light flecks of oxidation on the left wing of the muzzle brake. Minimal bubbling of the gold plate on trigger. Virtually all blue on front and backstrap. EXC grips with crisp checkering. Magazine with scattered flecks of oxidation and mild insertional wear as imaged. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. A stunning high polish “Super Blue” High Standard 104 space pistol from the mid 1960s that deserves a correct box.
