Attractive Mauser Banner Police Luger, E/L, 9mmP, made in 1942 with single matching magazine and closely dated 1941 Police holster numbered to pistol. The Luger is a standard configuration Police pistol from WWII with 4” barrel having drift adjustable front sight and “V” notched rear sight. 1942 chamber date. Mauser Banner on forward toggle link full serial number on forward frame and repeated on left side of barrel extension. The barrel has no serial number as is correct for this type of pistol. Last two digits on all the usual small parts, including the rear toggle pin and both grips. Full serial number on the magazine (but no letter suffix) which is numbered 2. Original black Police holster with manufacturer name and 1941 date on back surface between belt loops. No takedown tool. Matching number on front of holster was applied at a later date.
Condition:
Bright 95% original salt blue with honest wear as one might expect from a police pistol that has been carried in the field. Crisp, oil darkened grips with sharp diamonds. Comparable condition magazine. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. VG holster with intact stitching. A very nice late WWII Nazi Police Luger, with a matching magazine and correct holster.
