High original condition and all-matching DWM 1908 Commercial Luger, in 9mmP, with early BUG proofing, no hold-open, no stock lug, and unmarked magazine as correct for this scarce and elusive variation. It has a 4” barrel having drift adjustable front sight and a fixed “V” notch rear sight. “DWM” over front toggle link. Full serial number on forward frame, under barrel, with last two digits “06” on all usual small parts . Frontstrap marked with a large “H.S.” in font resembling regimental markings. BUG proofing under barrel, left side of bbl extension, and breech block/toggle. Usual mixture of strawed and fire blued small parts. Checkered walnut grips and correct magazine with tinned body and unmarked walnut plug.
Condition:
Excellent, bright original rust blue finish with sharp edge wear and minor handling marks as one might expect from a well-cared for pistol, now over 100 years old. Comparable condition strawed parts with expected thinning and minor discoloration in usual areas of contact, no suggestion of touch-up. Dark grips w/ slightly blunted checkering, again, as one would expect, with comparable condition magazine. Bright bore with sharp rifling, dullness in grooves. Perfect manual mechanics. A very high original condition and all matching DWM 1908 Commercial Luger with BUG proofs and unusual front strap initials, suitable for the most advanced collector!
