Near EXC example of Japanese Military Nambu pistol with two matching magazines assembled in September 1943 by Nagoya Arsenal, Toriimatsu branch. This first series pistol has a drift adjustable front sight and fixed rear sight. Finely checkered and grooved cocking knob. Arsenal markings, SN and “18.9” date on right side of pistol. Fitted with usual wood serrated grips and two factory magazines, the spare magazine with the usual “dot” above the SN. Limited disassembly shows a matching cocking knob, bolt, both grips and both magazines.
Condition:
VG+/EXC with light holster wear in usual locations. Comparable condition grips with oil darkening and a few superficial handling marks. The primary magazine with moderately heavy oxidative flecking and wear. The spare magazine is in the same general condition as the pistol. Bright bore with sharp rifling, Perfect manual mechanics with both magazines. A very attractive pistol with two matching magazines from the middle of WWII.
