Attractive, all original, and matching high polish Walther PPK, Eagle C Police Pistol from early WWII.
Description:
Scarce and desirable Walther PPK with high polish Eagle/N acceptance, matching slide and correct but later matte finish magazine. Standard configuration pistol with fixed front and rear sights. Loaded indicator. Usual Walther banner followed by manufacturer, model, and caliber on left side of slide. Eagle/N proofs on exposed barrel boss and right side of slide. The left side of frame stamped Eagle/C. The full serial number appears on the right side of the frame. Disassembly shows the last three digits scribed inside the slide. The matte finished magazine is marked on the left side with the Walther banner/PPK 7.65mm. Fitted with original brown mottled wrap around grip.
Condition:
VG/EXC bright original finish with sharp edge/handling wear as one might expect from a police pistol that has been carried in holster. Minimal thinning of front strap. Grips with slight bowing, just enough to interfere with complete lowering of the safety unless the grip is simultaneously pressured, and a one inch hairline crack on the left side starting from the screw escutcheon as carefully imaged. Excellent magazine. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. A nice, all original, no excuse, Nazi police pistol from early WWII whose status could easily be Improved with a slight adjustment of the grip.
