Beautiful Llama made in 1943 during WWII, that looks like a scaled down Government model, and Geco marked upon receipt in Germany.
Description:
Standard configuration Llama I, caliber 7.65mm, having a 3.75” barrel with no grip safety. Left side of slide is marked with two line “LLAMA” address along with the encircled automatic pistol proof that is repeated on the left side of the trigger guard and exposed barrel hood. The Eibar proof and modified “Ñ” year code reflecting production in 1943 are on the left frame. The full SN is marked on the right frame over the encircled G. C. (Gabliondo y Cia.). The “Geco” marking on the left frame, applied afterwards, reflects commercial sale to Germany, imported by Gustav Genschow. Finely checkered walnut grips with no added markings along lower edge. Rotatable lanyard ring. Correct magazine whose right side has two indicator slots.
Condition:
Crisp 98+% original salt blue whose wear pattern is consistent with very light use. Comparable condition grips and magazine. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. An extraordinary Nazi-era Llama pistol whose markings shows shipment to Germany. According to Whittington, only 1000 of these were made, rendering it one of the scarcest Nazi pistols. A HISTORIC INVESTMENT!
