Description:
Original and early-contract Walther PP, caliber 7.65mm (32 ACP), made in 1940, with fixed front sight, drift adjustable rear sight. Loaded indicator. Left side of slide with usual Walther address reflecting manufacturer, model, and caliber. Full serial number on right side of frame with the last 3 digits crudely inscribed inside slide. Eagle/N proofing on exposed barrel boss and right side of slide. Left side of frame marked “Rplt Nr. 3824.” Standard black plastic grips and special order lanyard ring on butt. Correct Walther magazine with 7 indicator holes, the left side of the magazine marked with the Walther banner, model and caliber, fitted with the usual flat base. Note: in 1940, the Danish Rigspolitiet (National Police) purchased approximately 1,400 Walther PP pistols in the 182000P – 201000P serial number range with factory-installed lanyard rings.
Condition:
VG with holster wear and scuffs, particularly around the muzzle, as one would expect from a holstered pistol that has seen field use. Comparable condition grips and magazine. Mirror bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics. One of the scarcer police contract PP pistols made during early WWII.
