Beautiful Brazilian Mauser 1935 Rifle with Matching Bayonet & Test Target, SN: 46!

Description:

Impressive Mauser M1935 Brazilian Contract, bolt action rifle with muzzle cap, original matching bayonet and test target. SN# 46. Cal. 8mm Mauser. NO IMPORT MARKS. Standard configuration contract rifle with drift adjustable front sight over short checkered ramp and tangent rear sight graded 1-20. Blued receiver with large Brazilian crest over chamber and Mauser banner on rear bridge. Proofing, serial number, and Mauser address on left side. The right side marked with “MOD 1935”. Barrel, barrel bands, most rear sight parts, receiver, floorplate and trigger guard are salt blued. Bolt release and a number of screws are fire blued. Bayonet lug, cleaning rod, bolt and buttplate are in the white. Standard walnut stock with finger grooves. All numbers match including the bayonet whose bright blade is secured in a steel, salt blued scabbard in a greenish leather frog. Complete with factory matching test target dated 13, Aug 1935, shot at 50 meters, now protected by a plastic laminate and mounted onto wooden dowels for hanging.

Condition:

Stunning 99+% bright original blue; in-the-white parts equally crisp with minimal staining. Stock with scattered superficial handling/rack marks as so often true for these rifles that are now nearly 100 years old. Mirror bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics. Bayonet graded VG+ as bright metal parts have been polished, EXC original finish scabbard. Target with folds and several noticeable losses, now well protected by plastic laminate. A beautiful 1935 Brazilian Contract rifle, seldom seen with matching bayonet and test target, even better in not having any import marks.
