Classic Mauser K98k, German battle rifle made by Gustoff, barrel subcontracted by FN, all matching.

Description:

Standard configuration and all matching mid war Mauser bcd 42 K98k (cal. 8mm) with serrated ramp drift adjustable front sight and a tangent rear sight graded 1-20, manufactured in 1942 by Gustloff Werke, the barrel supplied by Fabrique Nationale, coded “ch” adjacent to “2” (lot number), dated 42. Left side of the receiver marked with the full serial number and Mod. 98. Acceptance markings along sides of receiver and on buttplate that is coded “org”. Top of receiver marked bcd 42. All numbered parts matched to serial number 6043m, including barrel bands, all components of the bolt and trigger guard assembly/floorplate. Finely laminated stock, markings not apparent, with unmarked disassembly disk and cleaning rod marked C-1.

Condition:

Generally good with much of the blue having faded in areas that would have been subjected to handling. Comparable condition stock with scattered handling marks and several areas of chips along the lower spine near the butt. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. A classic Kar98k battle rifle made by Gustloff with an FN barrel, all matching, with nice bore!
