Standard configuration High Standard H-D US Military Training Pistol as issued during WWII, .22 LR, with 4.5” barrel having serrated blade front sight and drift adjustable rear sight. Top of barrel marked “PROPERTY OF U.S.A”. Left side of frame with the usual High standard address/patent dates/caliber. Left side of slide marked “HI-STANDARD/U.S.A. MODEL H-D”. Right side of frame marked “PROPERTY OF U.S.” along with ordnance wheel that breaks through the parkerizing. Full serial number on front strap. Uniformly checkered black plastic panels. Unmarked two-tone magazine. Disassembly shows a matching slide.
Condition:
Approximately 97-98% original parkerizing with sharp edge wear as carefully imaged. Disassembly shows a repaired/adjusted hammer, ejector, and disassembly lever. Bright bore. Correct manual mechanics though slide release is sticky, requiring effort. A nicely presenting and matching WWII H-D Military pistol as used for troop training with internal repairs/adjustments.
