Beautiful, standard configuration Russian Makarov made by Izhvesk, dated 1963, with fixed front sight and drift adjustable rear sight. Izhevsk Arsenal marking on left side of frame along with manufacturing date of “1963”. Import marked on right side of frame. Early matching safety. Single piece reddish maroon plastic grip with two checkered panels impressed with encircled 5 pointed star. Complete with two early factory matching Russian magazines.
Condition:
Stunning 99.5% bright original salt blue, plum-toned hammer and safety reflecting a different degree of hardness, comparably crisp grip with only the most minute storage-related scuffing, magazines with very minor insertional wear. A beautiful Russian military Makarov from 1963 with two factory matching magazines whose condition would be extremely difficult to improve upon, well suited for an advanced collector.
