Description:
Izhevsk Arsenal Makarov pistol manufactured in 1987, SN: 7529, cal 9mmMak, blued finish with 3.75″ bbl, fixed front and drift adjustable rear sight. Left side of slide marked with SN: “7529” with matching “7529” on the frame followed by Izhevsk logo and “1987” date. Right side of frame with import markings and “9mm Germany”. Lower surface of forward frame marked with matching “7529”. Fitted with reddish checkered bakelite grip molded with 5-pointed star and lanyard loop. Late unmarked Bulgarian style eight-round magazine with indicator window. The Makarov was formally adopted by the Soviet Armed Forces in December 1951 as the standard service pistol, replacing the TT-30 and remaining in service until the collapse of the Soviet Union.
Condition:
Bright 99% original salt blued finish with comparable condition grips and magazine. Mirror bright bore. Correct manual mechanics. A wonderful example of a late Russian Makarov pistol made in 1987, one of the latest dates noted by this cataloger.
