Beautiful Astra 3003, made in 1953, with full factory engraving, especially deep over slide, with relocated factory markings as typically done for the most highly embelished pistols. As per standard production guns, it was completed with a fixed front and rear sight, mid frame rotating safety, grip safety, and magazine safety. Triad of Eibar markings on left tang with “Y” reflecting 1953, the automatic pistol proof repeated on the left side of the slide and the exposed barrel hood underneath the caliber. Full serial number on right tang. This was one of the 3003 level pistols that was chromed rather than silver plated. Fitted with smooth pearlite grips and magazines, correspondingly plated, each marked with the word “ASTRA” at the top of the spine. Accompanied by correct chrome plated cleaning rod and custom form fitted presentation case.
