Gorgeous Baby LeFaucheux with folding trigger, engraved with gold accents, retailer marked, in factory case, with full complement of accessories including original pinfire rounds.
Scarce Baby LeFaucheux, caliber 7mm pinfire, 6-shot double action revolver with 3.5 inch barrel, 7.5 inches overall length, with folding trigger, factory engraving, gold highlights, and ivory grips. High polish round barrel with octagonal base, stamped on the left side: “E.Lefaucheux Invr. Breveté”, dealer address inlaid in gold at the top: “Weber Ruesch in Zurich.” Cylinder with fine engraving and gold wire highlights whose design complements the more detailed embellishment found on the case hardened frame with extension to include the front strap, back strap, and base of grip. Fitted with smooth ivory grips secured with a single transverse screw. French fitted oak case, lined in red velvet, that includes double ball bullet mould, a loading tool, screwdriver and cleaning rod. A separate compartment for cartridges is located in the lower part of the box. Complete with an original, retailer marked bag for the cartridges, and numerous rounds, all with heavily oxidized bullets as pictured.
Near excellent, actually spectacular, as compared to the vast majority of other LeFaucheux revolvers, retaining the majority of its original high polish blue and case hardening. Early toned oxidative changes of the in-the-white hammer and folding trigger. Comparable condition ivory grips. VG+ accessories in case. Original ammo with heavily oxidized lead bullets. Several of the cartridges with split cases. VG presentation case with oil stained interior showing light scuffing as one might expect after nearly 150 years. A superb ensemble by any metric!
