Description:

A very high condition S&W Pre-Model 10 revolver in 5-screw configuration, .38 S&W Special, made in 1950s with 5” barrel, fixed sights and serial numbered in the “S” prefix range. Matching numbered barrel and cylinder. Fitted with usual color cased hardened hammer and trigger; standard grips with diamonds around screw escutcheons.

Condition:

97-98% original bright blue with trace wear on either side of muzzle, a faint cylinder ring that barely breaks through the blue, and slight toning of the straps, especially the backstrap. Recoil shield shows no cartridge head imprinting. Comparable condition grips. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. A wonderful, lightly carried and seldom fired S&W 5-screw revolver with classic 5” barrel.
