Description:

Scarce Colt New Service made for England in 1915, caliber .455 ELEY, with 5.5″ barrel, fixed sights, with two-line address/patent markings on top of the barrel, caliber marking on the left side of barrel, “VP” on the left trigger guard and the Rampant Colt on the sideplate. Matching serial numbers on frame and crane. Usual scattering of British proofs. Fitted with Colt hard rubber grips. Landyard ring on butt.

Condition:

VG+ orginal finish with scattered handling marks and flecking as one might expect from a revolver of this era that has seen light use. Near excellent original grips. Cylinder indexes correctly against light resistance. Mirror bore. A very nice all original, no excuse, Colt New Service Revolver in the somewhat scarce .455 Eley caliber.
