DWM 1920 Commercial Luger, serial number 1, presenting as a 1906 Navy configuration.
Description:
Outstanding 1906 Navy pattern Luger serial number 1, whose matching number appears under the barrel, under the sideplate and on the rear toggle link. During the re-work, the breech block and trigger were likely replaced as both parts are serial numbered 23. The other parts are largely unnumbered as common to the 1920 pistols, with the export marking “GERMANY” appearing on the rear toggle link and on the left rail. The gun is fitted with the usual checkered walnut panels and has an original Navy magazine whose base with concentric circles has been marked with the Crown/M and numbered 3562.
Condition:
VG+ with sharp edge wear and handling marks as you might expect from a pistol that is now over 100 years old. Comparable condition grips and crisp magazine whose plug pin shows no evidence of disturbance. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. An incredible opportunity to own a real serial number 1 Navy configuration Luger! And what collector would not covet a serial number 1!
