Description:
Standard configuration and all matching Erfurt Artillery Luger from WWI, caliber 9mmP, made 1914, with fine tune front and rear sight, the rear sight with the usual 1-8 stops for cursor elevation. Chamber dated 1914 with Erfurt on front toogle link. Usual proofs on right side of barrel extention. Full serial number on forward frame, under barrel, and left side of barrel extention. Last two digits on all usual small parts including the grips. Magazine plug with larger numberals, as struck the earliest military pistols, digits not discernable.
Condition:
Generously “G” orginal blue with considerable toning throughout as carefully photographed. Same consideration applies to the strawed small parts that show no evidence of enhancement. Dark grips with slightly blunted checkering, but no splits or significant losses. G magazine with numeration on plug not discernable. Bright bore, sharp rifling. Correct manual mechanics. The earliest of the standard artillery lugers from WWI and the only year in which the Artilleries were made by Erfurt.
