A fantastic original condition Colt 1903 as issued to the US Military. Fixed serrated ramp front sight and drift adjustable rear sight. Usual two line address on left side of slide followed by rampant colt. Right side of slide referencing “COLT AUTOMATIC” and .380 caliber. Frame is marked with the full SN (left) and “U.S. PROPERTY” (right). Partial ordnance wheel breaking blue finish just behind safety lever axle. Fitted with walnut checkered grips each panel with silvered colt medallion. Two correct magazines each with base marked “CAL .380/COLT” Complete in manilla box with full SN on bottom.
Condition:
Virtually new with just the tiniest handling mark on extremely close inspection and a few pinpoint freckles on the grip safety. Comparable condition grips and magazines that only show insertional rub marks on the spine. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. Near EXC box with a scattering of scuffs and stains as imaged. It would be virtually impossible to improve upon this example!!!
