Standard configuration Colt New Service, with 7.5″ barrel, fixed sights, with two-line address and patent markings on top of the barrel, caliber markings on the left, “VP” on left trigger guard, Rampant Colt on the sideplate. Fitted with checkered Colt medallion grips and color case hardened lanyard ring on butt. Manufactured in 1933. Complete with crisp Factory Letter, signed by M.S. Huber, showing shipment November 1, 1933.
Condition:
Virtually new, with 99++% original prewar blue finish. Cylinder ring barely breaks the finish. Single tiny fleck of oxidation on backstrap. Comparable condition grips. Mirror bore. Mechanics not checked, as revolver is virtually new and didn’t want to put any wear on cylinder. Crisp factory letter. Impossible to upgrade, short of finding an example NIB.
