Description:

The Star F Olympic Target Pistol is arguably the most impressive of Stars F series of 22s. This particular example has the long barrel that, with muzzle brake, reaches 8 ¼”. Front sight is vertically adjustable. Rear sight horizontally adjustable. Left side of the lightweight anodized slide is marked with the Star address and caliber (just .22 rather than .22 Short). The left side of the frame marked “Made in Spain” as customary for guns earmarked for export. Fitted with the early marron plastic grips, the left panel with thumb rest, both panels with the large Star/trademark logo. Base of frame marked with the model and full serial number. The gun fitted with a large three piece weight with screw securements as imaged. Correct .22 Short five round magazine with spacer at rear and detachable floorplate having serrated toe.

Condition:

98-99% original finish, most wear on either side of the forward muzzle brake and thin screwdriver rings around the upper two securing screws. The forward surface of the middle and bottom weight lightly marked “IXX” likely and assembly notation. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. A fabulous, high condition, Star 22 Target Pistol that is rarely offered for sale.
