Description:
Standard configuration Erfurt WWI German Luger, 9mmL, with 1913 chamber date. Usual 4″ barrel with drift adjustable front sight and fixed V-notch rear sight. Crown/Erfurt marking on front toggle. Full serial number on left side of receiver, forward frame and under barrel with expected halos. Last two digits and Erfurt inspection markings on all usual small parts and each grip panel. Both grip screws are also accepted. Magazine from DWM pistol numbered 1469a. Complete with black polished leather holster manufacturer marked and dated 1914 on front of body under flap. Tip of pullup strap with string reinforcement. No takedown tool or spare magazine.
Condition:
VG/VG+ original rust blue finish with sharp edge/high point wear as one would expect from a carried pistol that has seen moderate use. The straw on several of the small parts has been enhanced, particularly the ejector. Oil darkened grips with no cracks, splits or repairs. Comparable condition magazine with stains as imaged. G/VG holster, black polished, with crazed buckle strap and an reinforced pullup strap as previously detailed. Near mirror bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. One of the more difficult to find pre-WWI German Lugers!
